Martin Neeves
Photographer

An award-winning photographer, Martin undertakes assignments for a wide variety of clients and his images are used to illustrate newsletters, brochures and leaflets, as well as being sent to press UK-wide. He has completed numerous photographic assignments for Jephson, East Midlands and Orbit Housing Associations.

"It is good working with a team of specialists in their own fields at Word Association. Together we’re a formidable team."

Career Summary: Martin, who is NCTJ trained, started his career with the East Kent Gazette before becoming Senior Photographer at the Kentish Times, followed by Senior Photographer at the Coventry Evening Telegraph. Since he became self-employed in 1996 he has freelanced for national magazines and newspapers, as well as corporate magazines and many blue-chip companies. He has even photographed Her Royal Majesty The Queen in the Buckingham Palace music room twice and has won three awards. Martin has his own pilot’s licence and enjoys flying.

Communication changed my life when … I met other really keen press photographers on the NCTJ photojournalism course during my training. It really spurred me on when I saw how enthusiastic they were. To be a good photographer you have to be passionate about your pictures. That passion was infectious.
