Diane is an expert in market and social research. She provides advice on appropriate research methods, designing and implementing research studies, interpreting survey data and reporting back survey findings. She has undertaken STATUS and other surveys for housing associations and designed client and customer feedback questionnaires.

Career Summary: Diane is a member of the Market Research Society and adheres to their code of conduct. She has 17 years’ experience in the market research industry, including 11 years with Marketing Focus, a full service market research agency in Nottingham, of which she became Company Director. She launched her own consultancy, The Independent Research Consultancy, in 1999 and joined ADAS as a Senior Consultant in 2002. She spends time in the gym and swimming, which she believes is important when working from home.
Communication changed my life when … Around the time of the birth of my second child I started seeing more in the media about a shift in thinking nationally towards a better work-life balance. I had already decided to change the way I worked, but this growing trend towards working from home tied in with my thinking and the media coverage helped to make clients, colleagues and employers view it as an acceptable option.
