Training
Perhaps more than other Word Association service, training is the living embodiment of our ‘Where Communications Changes Lives’ mission. After all we can change more lives by passing on our skills to others.
Training is often part of our ongoing support for organisations where we train board members and staff in areas such as marketing strategy and dealing with the media. It can also be part of our exit strategy when we work in the community, enabling residents to improve the reputation of their areas through PR, publications and websites when funding for our work comes to an end.
We provide the courses in-house, tailoring them to the specific needs of the organisation we are working for, we offer them externally for staff from different organisations to attend and also offer a teleconference service.
Word Association’s chief executive Mark Thomas has also spoken on a wide range of subjects in national conferences for the National Housing Federation and the Chartered Institute of Housing. He has also presented workshops for the Housing Corporation, Centre for Sheltered Housing Studies and the Housing Quality Network.
