Word Association has been awarded the industry’s gold standard for the quality of its services and has achieved the prestigious Communications Management Standard (CMS), the hallmark of PR excellence.
The internationally recognised accreditation, awarded by the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA), is the quality certification system for the industry.
Achieving the CMS assures clients that we maintain the highest standards in its management, communication and service delivery.
We received the accreditation after undergoing a rigorous, independently audited set of eight tests.
Inspectors need to be satisfied that the business is well run, with all the correct systems and structures in place, and that it is committed to the development of its staff.
Mark Thomas, Chief Executive of Word Association, said: “We are very proud to have achieved this gold standard, which recognises the commitment we have both to our clients and our staff.
“It is testament to the excellent standards we maintain throughout all aspects of our business and services.”
The CMS combines elements of the ISO 9000 standard – for the quality of an organisation’s management systems – and the Investors in People accreditation – for staff development – with criteria specific to the PR industry.
The PRCA is the trade association for the UK’s PR consultancy industry. It aims to raise standards in PR and help its members become better organisations.
Francis Ingham, Chief Executive of the PRCA, said:
“Well-run businesses consistently deliver the results clients are looking for.
“The CMS was developed specifically to ensure that PRCA members have the systems and structures in place to meet and exceed clients’ expectations.
“This standard has been so successful that it has now been adopted in 11 countries around the world.”
