Background and description of the project
With a move to new offices planned, housing association whg needed a way to provide staff with key practical information about the new premises. The move also presented an opportunity to reinforce or change some aspects of working practices, but this would require careful communication.

Objective
A document was required to meet the key communication objectives, but there was a desire to ensure its style meant it was read and referred to. The document would need to look nothing like a typical manual, so that it stayed on the desk, rather than being consigned to a bottom drawer.

Our role
Word Association developed the idea of MyPad. The name suggested ownership of the document, and of the new offices. Graphically, the style was informal and casual, reflecting recent corporate changes. Its form was a practical notebook that combined useful information about working practices and the new building, with enduringly practical elements such as a year planner and notepad pages.

The result
MyPad was delivered to staff immediately ahead of the move to new premises in February 2012.
