Welcome to the fourth issue of The Word, which brings you the latest news from Word Association

NEW CLIENTS COME ON BOARD

Word Association’s excellent results for clients have been speaking for themselves recently. We’re pleased to welcome many new clients in various sectors who are keen to work with a consultancy which delivers what it promises.

In addition to Independent Paper and FHUG, both featured in this ezine, other new clients include Paradigm Housing Group and Somer Community Housing Trust. We’re currently creating a vibrant new corporate identity for the whole Buckinghamshire-based Paradigm Group plus individual logos for its constituent associations.

Our Bath office is developing a residents’ web-portal for Somer, which manages stock throughout North East Somerset. We’re also helping to secure funding for the web-portal and running workshops to support the tenants’ conference planning group.

And it’s not just our client base which is expanding! With Finance & Administration Manager, Melanie Moore, due to go on maternity leave soon, Cathy Bown has joined the team in Hinckley.

Cathy will be ensuring we get the best deals from suppliers and dealing with any queries. Having run her own knitwear company, been a partner in a local HR company and benefit secretary to ex England cricketer, Phillip DeFreitas in the past, Cathy’s used to dealing with 101 things at once and achieving great results.

HITTING THE RIGHT NOTES

Word Association has been really getting in tune with new client, Independent Paper. We’re providing an innovative media relations service for the independent paper merchant which often gives its products musical names. To take this one step further, students from the Royal Academy of Music were asked to pose as models for the new Amadeus brochure, creating a superb media story. CUTTING EDGE WEB TECHNOLOGY

Databases provide a mine of information but can also be a minefield when it comes to accessing it.

That’s why First Housing User Group (FHUG) has asked Word Association’s web specialists to upgrade its existing website and improve its functionality. FHUG is an international support group for users of SX3 housing finance software and its new cutting edge website will be built around an extensive database, enabling:

  • Meetings efficiency through an online booking system and facility for posting meeting documents.
  • Online discussions and information exchange between group members.
  • Polls of FHUG members on upgrades required for SX3.
  • Individual profile storing for members.
  • Comprehensive bulletin and discussion boards.
  • Easy site maintenance and expansion through a brand new administration system.

Any housing associations or membership bodies who need to make flexible use of large amounts of information can call the Word Association team on 01455 614333. Find out how we can take a similar approach to website design for you.
