Word Association – where communication changes lives
Client: THE SUITE SUPERSTORE
Project: Advertising a new independent furniture retail outlet in Leicestershire
Background: The Suite Superstore in Barwell wanted to promote its launch and products through the local press.
Objective: To publicise the showroom and attract new business in a highly competitive marketplace.
Description: Word Association was initially asked to design a logo to help launch the Leather Studio – a store within a store, specialising in quality leather three piece suites. This was then used in the production of business stationery and press advertising.
Our role: The company used its design expertise and experience in marketing to develop eye-catching advertisements and place them in the right media, in time to catch the profitable Christmas and New Year sales.
The challenge: The Suite Superstore had never previously used a professional agency for its marketing activities, so commissioning Word Association was a venture into the unknown. Account director Sarah Thomas said: "Small and medium-sized businesses sometimes try to cut costs by handling their own promotions, but as the Suite Superstore found, this can be a false economy. Our adverts were simple but strong, helping to bring many more people into their showroom – I think we convinced them that the relatively low costs involved were definitely a worthwhile investment."
Feedback: "The launch proved so successful in terms of publicity and sales that we have gone on to commission further work from Word Association" said Suite Superstore marketing director Luan Bancroft.
