Project: Customer newsletter
Background: Hinckley and Rugby Building Society is a locally based building society which is keen to maintain a regular, friendly and informative dialogue with all its mortgage customers.
Objective: To keep customers informed of the latest relevant news from the Building Society.
Our role: To continue sharing interesting and relevant news with customers without bombarding them with too much information, the publications team at Word Association began producing the A4, four page publication, Homeminder News, in 2001. Issued annually to 10,000 mortgage customers, it contains useful information such as Hinckley and Rugby’s mortgage products and details of the Building Society’s total mortgage lending for the year. The easy to read, clean design invites customers to dip into the newsletter to gain pieces of information of benefit to them and gives a wider picture of the Building Society’s business, fully meeting the client’s objective.
Results: In a recent customer survey, Hinckley and Rugby Building Society gave the Word Association team top marks in all categories from meeting objectives and adding value to the organisation to creativity and overall service. Each year, the newsletter competition generates a high response rate, indicating that the publication is well read by customers who are pleased that the Building Society keeps in touch.
