Dealing with the media can seen intimidating, but we taught managers at Thrive Homes the tricks of the trade to help them talk to journalists and get their message across.
Thrive Homes, a Hertfordshire-based housing association, asked us to run a Media Training programme for managers to help them confidently deal with journalists and deliver key messages.
Our experienced tutors ran a day-long session to help staff develop the right skills for working with journalists and editors. We taught them our Top 10 tips and coached them in the best ways of navigating interviews.
They also learned what the press want to hear and how it works, as well as how to identify potential stories and help on defusing a crisis situation.
We asked for feedback from our training, and it was all positive. Staff attended the training said they felt it was valuable, informative and fun.
