Looking to the future
Project: Design and create the 100 book
We came up with the unique concept of the 100 book, containing 100 facts including 10 customer case studies, to help housing association whg mark its move into a new office in Walsall.
With a move to a new office planned, at 100 Hatherton Street in Walsall, housing association whg wanted to mark the occasion by producing a publication that celebrated its successes to date, and set out its stall for future progress. So the 100 book was born.
Word Association worked on designing a book containing 100 pieces of information, with 10 being case studies of customers - one from each decade of life. The remaining 90 facts demonstrated the breadth of whg’s impact on customers’ lives.
Our team directed the photography to reflect the articles, achieving outstanding images and creating a largely timeless publication, to increase its shelf life.
A limited edition run of 250 hardback books was printed while a stitched, soft cover version of the design was produced in larger numbers, to act as a more versatile introduction to whg and what it stands for.
We’re very proud of the innovative 100 Book, which is not only beautifully written with superb photography, but was shortlisted for a CIPR Excellence Award.
