A fresh new look for all areas
Project: A corporate image re-brand
We created a fresh and contemporary new identity for a Midlands housing association looking for a rebrand covering every aspect of their communication channels.
As part of devising a complete communications strategy for Walsall Housing Group (whg) they asked us to develop a new corporate brand identity.
We researched their needs to learn more about what they wanted to achieve through their new image.
Our design team created a brand featuring a range of ‘cartoon-style’ illustrations to give the organisation a modern, trusting and approachable identity. It also included a new look for their logo.
The new imagery was applied to whg’s stationery, publications, signage and website. We produced comprehensive guidelines on how the new identity should be used.
They were due to move into a new office and we also created a digi-mural for a prominent wall featuring the cartoon-style illustrations, but with a colleague-focused twist. The mural features three-dimensional letters across the top, spelling out whg’s mission statement to underline this message to staff.
The new branding has given whg a more modern, consistent and approachable image. Tracy Ironmonger, Communications Manager, whg, said: "I wanted to re-brand whg with a fresh, contemporary feel that our customers could relate to. I had a very basic idea of what I was looking for and Word Association were able interpret that brief and bring to life a whole new vibrant concept that works across all of our communication channels."
