Project: Design and create a promotional anniversary brochure

We created an attractive brochure telling the story of the development of a Victorian building now giving a home and support to homeless young people.
The brochure was produced to mark the 16th anniversary of Ravenhurst Cottages in Birmingham, which was the first ‘Foyer’ in the city – providing accommodation as well as support, training and employment opportunities for homeless young people.
Full of historic and modern images as well as engaging copy looking back at the building’s 165-year history, the 16-page “Coming of Age” brochure was a fitting tribute to Ravenhurst Cottages and its 21st century refurbishment.
Our striking brochure was a key part of an event staged to celebrate the anniversary milestone in 2013. It also looked ahead to how donations could help secure its future as a haven for the homeless to enable the charity to use it as a fund-raising vehicle.

Outcome

We had a lot of positive feedback at the “Coming of Age” event from key stakeholders, who praised the brochure’s distinctive design. It raised awareness of the scheme by catching people’s eye and encouraging them to read further. This helped enable the charity to secure welcome sponsorship.
