Word Association appoints new copywriter
Word Association has expanded its PR team with the appointment of a new copywriter. The company welcomes 34-year-old Nick Barber as its new writing specialist.Nick brings to Word a wealth of public sector communications experience. A former journalist for Nottinghamshire weekly, the Newark Advertiser, Nick moved into a communications and PR role in 2001 as press officer for Nottingham Trent University, where he was responsible for producing and issuing press releases as well as researching and writing copy for the university's newsletter.

"I strongly believe they have exactly the right attitude towards promoting the importance of good communication and the clarity of vision to continue as a successful consultancy; one which I'm proud to be a part of. Word Association plays a vital role for its clients; enabling them to get the right message across to the right people and consistently showing them just what is possible when a dedicated team of communication specialists all pull together with a common goal," adds Nick.
A keen traveller, Nick had the opportunity to travel around the world in 2004. His travels took him east to explore Russia, China, India, South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand before heading to South Africa. He then returned to work in 2006 as a researcher for Nottingham Trent University and as a press officer for Experian credit solutions.
