Get the journalists on your side
Most of us here at Word Association started out as journalists. And, fortunately for our clients, we never did get out of that habit of competing for the front page.
It also means we go about things like a reporter would. We’re always on the look out for stories and our news releases are written the way the newsroom likes them (because, after all, we were once there ourselves).
When it comes to your press coverage we’ll start out by talking to you about what you want out of media relations. Then we’ll agree clear procedures for dealing with press queries. Once that’s sorted, we have quite a few tricks up our sleeves, to make sure you’re in the papers all the time (in a good way).
Some of those tricks (the newsroom-friendly PR aside) include:
- Using a top media database to produce a list of named journalists
- Eye catching photography
- Continual monitoring and evaluation of press cuttings
- PR reports – which review activity, coverage and generate future ideas
